What is a cult?

A Cult (Oxford dictionary)

a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object.

a person or thing that is popular or fashionable among a particular group or section of society.

When we reflect back to the first century  it was claimed the Jesus had unorthodox views (that they are different from what was generally accepted.) that eventually got him Killed. It says in Luke 2:52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man but the religious leaders of the time hated his message, very similar to that of today. At the time of Christs crucifixion it was the religious people of the time that were shouting “crucify him crucify him” in todays satanic world false religion is doing that also all over the world. “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world …” (Revelation 12:9). Satan has totally deceived this world. The world’s religions don’t know who God is! Spiritually, they don’t even know themselves! There is a similar problem today, people have heard false teachings for years and they believe these false doctrines rather than that what the bible actually teaches, like most brainwashing it takes years for people to unlearn the error of these teachings unless they repent and be born again.

When you look at the oxford dictionary and its explanation of a cult, then Jesus was a cult leader, he came to the world to save everyone from the deception of the pagan influence over the land especially with the Pharisees, Sadducees and the scribes who had not polluted the word of God, but had added to it, Jesus  came delivering a message of salvation to all who believed in him.

Today when we think of cult leaders the names of Charles Manson, David Koresh and Jim Jones come to mind who in themselves were very radical once they had gathered a group together and gained their confidence, this included manufacture of fire arms members get beaten, blackmailed, and coerced into signing over their possessions–which sometimes included their homes–according to Encyclopedia Britannica. And mass murders. These cults were established over a period of time and brain washing from an independent individual took root. Now when we look at false teachings today such has Seven day Adventists (SDA), Helen G White. Jehovah witness .org Charles Taze Russell, The Latter-day Saints LDA or Mormons, Joseph Smith, Islam Mohammed, Branamnists William Branhamn. All of these have an additional teaching looked at though the eye of those that establish the cult. Establishments such has the Church of England, Roman Catholic church which have polluted the Word of God by allowing acceptance theory and bending the knee to the world and political influence.  On the surface those listed as cults do not equate to the radical cult leaders initially listed but in reality they will take a lot of people to hell for eternity because  of their doctrine.
